The construction industry produces around 20 million tons of waste each year. At Roak, we take environmental responsibility into our own hands and recycle as much waste as possible that is produced from construction. Currently, we pass existing fabrics and upholstery from demolition works to charities. We are moving away from single plastic use in our material selection, preferring to use paper, compostable or recyclable bulk bags. We incorporate social responsibility into our waste management and construction plans by looking at where building materials are sourced and where practicable reduce our carbon footprint. We believe that these practices are part of the future of construction.
